Antiscalants

Scale control chemistry for RO membranes, boilers and cooling systems.

Laboratory analysis supporting a chemistry programme

Overview

What this covers.

Inhibit calcium carbonate, sulfate and silica scale so recovery and membrane life are protected. Used in RO pretreatment dosing, boiler scale control and high-hardness process streams.

Applications

Where this is typically used.

  • RO pretreatment dosing
  • Boiler scale control
  • High-hardness process streams

Questions

Asked before we start work.

How is dose selected?

From feed analysis, recovery and scale-forming ions. Under-dosing risks scale; over-dosing wastes chemical. We set a programme, not a guess.

Can antiscalant replace a softener?

Not always. High hardness or boiler limits may still need softening. Antiscalant and softeners often work together on RO trains.

Service desk

Need a chemistry programme? Share your water analysis and plant type.

Tell us the plant type, feed water and the issue. We will come back with installation, AMC, CIP, chemistry or parts — whichever the site actually needs.
